About The Position

As a Project Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in project oversight, execution, tracking, and reporting on project progress. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining project cost and schedule baselines, coordinating/leading regular project status updates for project reporting, along with mentoring/coaching project personnel on cost and schedule control. By effectively managing these areas, you will ensure projects stay on track, within budget, and meet their objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • 5-8 Years of Direct Experience
  • Proficiency with Primavera scheduling software
  • Proficiency with Cobra or similar cost processor
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management
  • Working knowledge of cost engineering/cost control
  • Working knowledge of Risk Management process and associated software
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within high pressure work site environment
  • Strong Analytical Skills: To analyze project data and identify potential issues or opportunities
  • Problem-Solving Skills: To develop creative solutions to challenges that arise during project execution
  • Communication Skills: To effectively communicate with project team members, stakeholders, and clients
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project) and financial tools (Cobra); risk management software and estimating software experience a plus
  • Leadership Skills: To motivate and guide the project team and directly support the project controls manager

Nice To Haves

  • Current Q security clearance is a plus
  • Risk management software and estimating software experience a plus
