About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Senior Project Control Engineer for their Federal Business Unit and Environmental project portfolio. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining cost controls, budgets, and forecasts for multiple projects. The ideal candidate will be a qualified professional with solid experience, strong analytical and leadership skills, and the ability to work independently in a flexible, team-oriented environment. This position is part of the Corporate team and contributes to Parsons' mission of shaping the future of defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Typically 10+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience with cost-reimbursable contracts is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of WBS and job costing
  • Experience with budget forecasting and tracking program/project budgets preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple items simultaneously
  • Must have excellent teamwork and customer (internal and external) relationship skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Prepare reports from Costpoint, CER system, Project Controls dashboard or CFT
  • Update of percent complete information into Parsons’ systems including Costpoint
  • Update of forecasts into Parsons’ systems including Costpoint
  • Review and coordination of procurement requisitions, to include cost coding and approval for project controls
  • Prepare independent analysis for projects and/or programs
  • Monthly support and review of costs, earned value
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of coding, time card issues or other project controls-related items.
  • Assisting the PCM or Project Controls team with specialized reports
  • Generating reports as requested from project team members
  • Assist PMs with job and/or program funding questions or reports
  • Preparation of presentations which may include charts and/or graphs to illustrate project status
  • Assistance with internal and external audit data and reports
  • Review and tracking against yearly business plans.
