About The Position

The position serves as the primary representative and strategic lead for the cost and schedule functions of the Project Controls Team. In this leadership capacity, the individual oversees a team of specialists dedicated to financial integrity, schedule precision, and reporting accuracy. By acting as the vital bridge between engineering, construction execution, and financial management, the role ensures early risk detection and provides executive-level visibility into overall project health to meet all strategic delivery goals. The successful candidate must possess a proven ability to develop junior staff, delegate effectively, and maintain high team morale under high-pressure deadlines. They should be skilled in negotiating and resolving conflicting interests between contractors and project owners to reach mutually agreeable outcomes. Requirements

Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite to drive reporting, documentation, and executive-level presentations.
Experienced in utilizing advanced scheduling platforms, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, to oversee complex project timelines.
Foundational knowledge identifying key project drivers, monitoring budget and schedule performance, and organizing project scopes into detailed work structures.
Ability to synthesize vast amounts of raw data into actionable insights and executive-level summaries.
Comprehensive understanding of diverse construction contracting models and their strategic implications for project cost management and financial reporting.
Understanding of the various stages of large-scale construction projects, from initial planning through to completion.

Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and quality oversight of direct reports across cost and scheduling disciplines.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, contract, compliance, and construction management teams to align project milestones with budget allocations.
Establish and enforce project controls procedures, reporting templates, and KPIs to ensure consistency across the project lifecycle.
Oversee the development and maintenance of the project budget, ensuring accurate cost allocation and expenditure tracking.
Oversee the validation of project schedules to ensure precise alignment between field execution and future forecasting, ensuring the timely delivery of project milestones.
Lead the identification of schedule and cost risks, facilitating the development of mitigation plans and corrective actions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the team during executive reviews and contractor alignment meetings.
