About The Position

Within our GTA Buildings – Structures team, this role plays a vital part in how projects are planned, tracked, and delivered. As a Project Controls and Finance Coordinator, you will work under the leadership of the Operations Lead, supporting Project Managers, the Project Accountant, and business leadership with essential project financial administration, controls, and coordination. This role bridges project delivery and finance—helping teams stay ahead of billing cycles, earned value reporting, accounts receivable, forecasting, and overall project administration to support strong project and business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Post‑secondary diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • 2–4+ years of experience in project administration, billing, finance, or project controls
  • Hands‑on experience with Oracle (Project Costing and Billing) and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
  • Confidence working across technical and financial teams to support shared outcomes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with financial and project data across systems such as Oracle, Power BI, and SharePoint is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Operations Leads, Project Managers, Project Accountants, and discipline leads to support project delivery and business objectives
  • Support foundational project financial activities including earned value management, billing coordination, and accounts receivable tracking
  • Act as a key liaison between Project Managers and the Project Accountant to support accurate project execution and reporting
  • Maintain and reconcile project data in Oracle, identifying and resolving discrepancies such as miscoding and timing issues
  • Assist with project setup, work breakdown structures, documentation, and change management activities
  • Support preparation of project budgets, forecasts, and regular financial updates
  • Assist with billing preparation, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and support resolution of billing discrepancies
  • Support operational forecasting by collecting inputs and assisting with modelling of resource and revenue projections
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly project and business unit reports
  • Provide general project administration support, including document management, meeting coordination, agendas, minutes, and follow‑ups on outstanding items
