Under general supervision, perform project controls assignments according to training, capability and experience. Assist in the preparation of larger and more complex project controls assignments. Understand EPC/Service order work process and dependencies between functions. Develop project risk analysis skills. Understand Financial/Accounting reporting. Prepare schedule and cost forecasts under minimal supervision. Maintain and prepare schedule and cost report with minimal supervision. Maintain and prepare schedule and cost Spread with minimal supervision. Understand Cash position on project, pull the monthly reporting from the software used, study the monthly expenses, and prepare the future estimation based on the reports. Maintain and may lead quantity reporting. Maintain Change Log and ensure forecast reflects appropriate potential changes. Assist with change quantification. Apply financial acumen. Gain an understanding of key scheduling processes such as critical path analysis, CPM schedule, float analysis, baseline comparison, and integration of the cost and schedule. Facilitate the development and maintenance of the All-level schedule, from the simple level 1 draft to fully developing the complete schedule up to level III/IV at least. Lead to schedule development and maintenance, including fragnet identification and resource leveling. Lead critical path and float analysis reporting. Monitor project performance by developing and maintaining the earned value management (EVM), identify variances and recommend corrective actions. Gain an understanding of key cost control processes. Collaborate with the team members to ensure the alignment on the schedule and budget requirements and other project control needs as required. Responsible for project documentation and maintenance. Support other project control requirements such as risk management, change orders and procurement as needed. Responsible to analysis the schedule and cost impact on the project and come with mitigating plans along with team members. Support the project reporting/dashboards presentation to the client and higher leadership team. No hire/fire authority.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Facilities Management, or related discipline, plus at least three years of related experience.
  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, and cost management, including development and maintenance of project schedules, critical path, and float analysis, earned value management, and integration of schedule with cost performance across complex construction, maintenance, and environmental programs.
  • Experience with different project controls functions, including delivering progress reporting, cost control, labor reports, schedule updates, risk and change management, milestone tracking, startup planning, and constructability reviews to support large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Work experience across different project types ranging from multifamily, commercial to power plants, utilities, and industrial projects.
  • Experience with applying industry-standard project controls and construction management tools including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Synchro, Primavera Unifier, Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam Revu, Visio, and advanced Excel for scheduling, forecasting, cost tracking, reporting, and project documentation.
  • Experience with construction project management and engineering, with hands-on involvement in contractor and subcontractor coordination, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, safety, quality maintenance, and implementation of VDC/BIM modeling for design integration and construction sequencing.
  • Experience with the Critical Path Method earned value management (EVM), Earned Schedule (ES), Resources loading, schedule coding, and other advanced features in industry focused project control tools.
  • Strong communication, analytical and reporting skills with experience interpreting the project data and providing mitigation plans to recover the schedule/cost if required.
  • Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English.
