About The Position
The Project Controls Analyst Intern will support the Project Controls team to ensure continuous tracking and control of schedules and budgets across all Nevada Projects. This is a project-based internship. Rather than generalized administrative tasks, you will be assigned a core technical project to own from start to finish. This role offers hands-on experience, culminating in an end-of-program presentation to technical leadership.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a rising senior in an Undergraduate program or final-year Master's student pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Ci Engineering, or a related process discipline.
- Foundational understanding of open-pit or underground mining methods and operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Knowledge of PMI and AACE International standards and best practices.
- Strong technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze datasets, draw logical conclusions, and present findings clearly.
- A collaborative mindset with an eagerness to learn and proactively ask questions.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license required; willingness to travel to project sites if necessary
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project, SAP and Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a dedicated 12-week project, managing timelines, and delivering a final technical report and presentation.
- Track and monitor ongoing field operations and construction/drilling activities.
- Oversee, review, and control daily on-site work progress against safety and quality standards.
- Record and report daily field data including drilling metrics, fuel consumption, and site activities to measure performance against approved schedule and budget baselines.
