AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Analyst II to be based in San Diego, CA. This role involves working with the company's financial and cornerstone systems and processes, applying financial terminology, measures, and data analysis concepts. The analyst will recognize actions that may impact project finances, develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for small projects, and assist in using drawings and specifications for baseline data. The position includes basic analysis of cost and schedule variances, developing knowledge of accounting principles, and assisting in data assembly for trending and forecasting. The role requires understanding progress/performance data, earned value, scope control, and change management concepts. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data on manpower, labor hours, and costs against budgets, tracking actual costs to funding limitations, and supporting the tracking of purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures. The analyst will gain familiarity with project revenue and cost concepts, basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, performance management, and cost/schedule integration. Knowledge of scope control and change management will be developed, and support will be provided for the project reporting process, potentially including participation in project cost review meetings.
