Project Controller
About The Position
Michael Baker International is seeking a Project Controller to provide hands-on support to our projects. This role involves assisting with project planning, development, and monitoring of schedules, budgets/costs, status reports, and progress using project management software. The Project Controller will track committed and actuals, reconcile actuals with estimated costs, develop cost forecasts, analyze variations against baselines, investigate cost inconsistencies, and develop reports on cost and schedule variances. They will also assist project managers in developing and reviewing costs, schedule, and budget corrective action and recovery plans, and establish and maintain project progress measurement systems for assigned projects.
Requirements
- 10 + years of related financial experience
- Background in the engineering field
Responsibilities
- Assist with project planning, development and monitoring of schedules, budgets/costs, status reports, and progress using project management software
- Track committed and actuals, reconciling actuals with estimated cost, developing cost forecast, analyzing variations against baselines
- Investigate cost inconsistencies and booked charges as required
- Develop reports on cost and schedule variances against baselines
- Assist project managers in developing and reviewing costs, schedule and budget corrective action and recovery plans
- Establish and maintain project progress measurement systems for assigned projects
