The Project Communications Coordinator/Specialist provides advanced-level support for public involvement activities, including administrative oversight, online research, database analysis, editorial and technical writing, and associated planning services for larger, complex airport, transportation and community planning and design projects. Duties include organizing public meetings, making venue reservations, preparing mailing lists, placing advertisements, venue setup and breakdown, preparing meeting materials, recording meeting notes, and final meeting documentation for large, complicated projects with a high level of autonomy. Other duties include preparing stakeholder communications, reviewing and editing written correspondence and reports, website development, managing public comments, preparing power point presentations, and mentoring others to do the same. A Project Communications Specialist 3 exercises a strong work ethic, demonstrates a desire to learn and grow, has excellent organizational and communication skills, and effectively mentors others with less experience. This person is expected to work well with others, absorb and apply constructive criticism, and seek guidance from more experienced members of the team as necessary.
