About The Position

Pennoni Associates is seeking a Project Bridge Engineer for their State College, PA office. This role involves leading bridge and culvert rehabilitation and/or replacement design projects with limited supervision from senior engineers. Responsibilities include coordination with other disciplines such as roadway, traffic, geotechnical, civil, and environmental. The position will also involve some oversight and supervision of other project and junior-level engineers, attending client meetings, and assisting in proposal preparation. Specific tasks include completing bridge designs, load ratings, calculations, construction plans, specifications, estimates, and schedules for project submissions like PennDOT Type, Size, and Location (TS&L), Final Plans, and Final Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of PennDOT bridge design, analysis, and rating software.
• Microstation proficiency.
• PennDOT Open Plan proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Municipal bridge engineer experience.
• Public speaking and classroom instruction experience.
• Knowledge of PennDOT project management process.
• NBIS bridge inspection experience and certification.

Responsibilities
