About The Position

Project Assistant will support student engagement and ongoing projects in Food Studies and at CRAFT, to be determined by that year’s expected research and co-curricular activities. This assistant works with faculty and staff in tracking and promoting these activities and events. They are responsible for social media and information sharing. This is a Graduate Student Employment position.

Requirements

  • All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time.
  • Students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year.
  • Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
  • Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with event organization, group dynamics and communities of practice a plus.
  • A willingness to learn and promote research and projects
  • Good communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Keeping track of existing and emergent activities and events
  • Providing assistance with scheduling and promotion of events and activities
  • Supporting newsletter and other communications within Chatham
  • Advancing knowledge about these projects to the FSSE community
