About The Position

EHDD is seeking a Project Assistant with expertise in architecture and AI to join their team. This role involves embedding within project teams to connect coding and AI tools with real workflows, identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation. The ideal candidate will help EHDD lead the integration of AI into architectural practice, leveraging their deep sustainability roots and design-forward approach.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and strong ownership of problems and situations, from start to finish.
  • Genuine tech curiosity and self-starter energy.
  • Comfort, ideally fluency, in MS 365 and Claude.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to explain workflows to teams and technical constraints to IT.
  • Working knowledge of project management, design, documentation, and project delivery workflows and deliverables.
  • Strong technology judgment and systems thinking.
  • Ability to balance innovation with practicality, focusing on solutions that teams will actually adopt and maintain.
  • Energy, communication skills, curiosity, and the ability to lead from the middle.
  • Ability to earn trust project by project.

Nice To Haves

  • Revit knowledge is a plus.
  • General ease across creative/visualization and collaboration tools.
  • Architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) practice experience is strongly preferred.
  • Firsthand knowledge of how projects actually run.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the team on AI strategy and adoption roadmap.
  • Act as the go-to person connecting coding/AI tools to real workflows across the MS 365 stack, including Copilot and Power Automate.
  • Pilot, test, and roll out AI tools across project management, design, documentation, visualization, accounting, marketing, and project delivery.
  • Teach the firm how to use new AI tools.
  • Drive adoption through training, documentation, and ongoing support.
  • Track and communicate the impact of new tools and workflows through metrics such as time savings, user adoption, project efficiency, and information quality.
  • Capture and share successful workflows, templates, prompts, and lessons learned to build the firm's collective knowledge base.
  • Perform project administration tasks such as assisting with project startup and closeout, preparing milestone documents, maintaining design team directories, managing design team access to platforms, and reinforcing file naming, metadata, and organization standards.
