BETA’s Project Architect brings senior technical design expertise to BETA 's in-house design team, producing high-quality architectural documentation while independently managing small-to-mid scale projects from concept through construction. This role blends deep CAD/drafting proficiency with growing project leadership responsibility, working directly with operations teams and facilities staff to deliver buildable, well-coordinated design solutions across BETA 's diverse portfolio - from internal renovations to manufacturing facility build-outs. This position offers a clear growth path to Senior Project Architect upon achieving architectural licensure and demonstrating consistent project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related design field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience in architectural design, drafting, or construction documentation
  • Advanced modeling proficiency required including AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, building science and sustainability, and how design drawings translate to field execution
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently, prioritize across concurrent projects, and communicate clearly with stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Produce complete architectural drawing sets - plans, sections, elevations, and technical details - across all design phases
  • Translate operational needs into coordinated, buildable construction documentation
  • Coordinate drawings with structural, MEP, and civil disciplines
  • Apply specialized technical knowledge (storefront systems, timber/wood construction, or similar) where relevant
  • Maintain CAD standards, templates, and documentation workflows; conduct field verification as needed
  • Independently manage small-to-mid scale projects from programming through construction completion
  • Serve as primary design point of contact, coordinating directly with facilities/build team and stakeholders
  • Track submittments, RFIs, and design revisions; lead project meetings and document decisions
  • Participate in programming discussions and present design options for stakeholder review
  • Coordinate with external consultants on larger capital projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
