The Project Architect is responsible for advocating for and upholding the design intent of stations, transit facilities, and urban infrastructure, ensuring seamless translation into coordinated, high-quality construction documentation. This role involves monitoring the design process from conceptualization through construction administration, ensuring consistency and proper execution of the design idea. The Project Architect will provide technical resolution and coordination for a defined portion of a project, work with Specification Writers to develop specifications, and ensure coordination between drawings and specifications. They will also be responsible for setting the overall strategy for document production, including defining data organization within files and BIM elements, setting up project team software parameters, and managing standards. Fostering collaborative relationships with the Project Leadership Team and ensuring effective communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors are key aspects of this role. Additionally, the Project Architect will ensure construction detail documentation meets quality assurance, quality control, and best practice standards, supervise the preparation of technical drawings by less experienced staff, and mentor junior team members. Personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable practices and a commitment to external and internal client service are also expected.
