The successful candidate will perform in a Project Architect role and will be responsible for leading the development of all technical aspects and content of projects, coordinating work with all disciplines to ensure an integrated set of deliverables, and verifying compliance through team collaboration. The role involves leading design, production, coordination, and architectural detailing as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This includes coordinating engineering systems, partnering with Design Leadership to carry through design intent, and coordinating with all other team members on project assignments and documents. The role also requires preparing design sketches of moderate to complex site plans, communicating project status and design intent clearly to owners, consultants, and clients, and participating in Business Development activities. A proactive leadership role within the project team and office is expected, along with performing field site observations, which frequently require physical walk-throughs. Developing and maintaining positive client relations, facilitating the integration of performance-based and sustainable design strategies, and leading project teams by implementing CannonDesign Method are key responsibilities. The role aims to create a stimulating and rewarding environment, empower staff, delegate effectively, build high-performance teams, and encourage critical thinking and continuous improvement. Supervision, monitoring, training, and direction of interns and less experienced team members are also part of the role, as is monitoring technical quality through QA/QC processes and ensuring statutory requirements are met. Other duties as assigned.
