About The Position

The Strategic Initiatives and Data Services Project and Risk Manager role will be working within Bank of America’s Global Research division. This position will focus on tracking and managing the deliverables on multiple key technology and data initiatives within Research, and in partnership with the Global Markets and Wealth Management divisions. The role will also coordinate and manage important enterprise initiatives driven by legal, risk, compliance, GIS, OpEx and others. The ideal candidate will have strong organization and communications skills, where they will be required to prepare materials and present to senior managers in Research, Global Markets, and Technology. They will be working cross-functionally with partners in Legal, Compliance, Supervision, Vendor Management, and Technology. A background in Agile development methodology will be important for working with our Technology partners. Projects will include the rollout of new Generative AI tools, data onboarding and consolidations initiatives, the expansion of our distribution platforms, and more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of management are required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Familiar with Agile development methodology
  • Experience interfacing with auditors and compliance officers
  • Experience with business, functional and non-functional requirements
  • Ability to work with various business units (Product, Technology, Compliance, Legal)
  • Demonstrated history of taking ownership of problems and seeing them through to resolution
  • Team player willing to take on additional responsibilities and assist the team wherever needed
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Research Technology book of work including the programs and projects, deliverables, timelines, coordination of testing, communications of change and necessary training for our user base.
  • Managing key risk programs such as audit, regulatory, risk, compliance, and controls initiatives to develop the remediation plans, communicate requirements to dependent teams and seeing the program to completion.
  • Assist in the creation and updates to key strategy and roadmap documentation, gathering the necessary updates, coordinating with all the parties involved, and concisely summarizing the updates that are appropriate to the audience.
  • Work with key business partners in distribution, operations, client onboarding, and training for change programs that impact the wider organization and clients.
  • Work with key controls partners in legal, risk, compliance, business controls, audit, and supervisory analysts to ensure adherence to mandatory requirements for responsible growth.
