The Project and Network Support Coordinator is responsible for supervising the operation and personnel in support of the District’s network, voice/data/video systems and Technology projects; leads future development, enhancements, works closely with all departments to ensure Technology Projects are properly documented, executed and supported. Works with vendors to ensure Technology Projects are receiving the necessary support in accordance to Contracts and Service Level Agreements. The Project and Network Support Coordinator is also responsible for the support, maintenance, and installation the wired and wireless, copper and fiber network infrastructure, and the Wide Area Network (WAN) / Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) network. The position can require extend or on call work hours due to emergencies or extenuating circumstances related to safety or operational routine. Reports To: Executive Director of Technology Scope of Responsibility: Manages and supervises the daily activities in support of Technology projects and the Network Support Team. Provides senior level technical support assistance for Network Support Specialist. Coordinates the development and review of service level agreements to continually increase customer satisfaction. Ensures that the Technology Infrastructure Standards are followed on all projects. Continuously monitors the health of the network 24x7x365 and responds accordingly to ensure all sites have connectivity including Internet and Telecommunication services. This includes an early morning check-in and network status report to the Executive Director of Technology. Installs, maintains and removes network infrastructure equipment as needed. Works with providers to ensure reliable connectivity to all locations at all times. Escalates issue with providers as required to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. Provides scope of work for new installations, changes, and removal of all network infrastructure equipment as needed. Works closely with the Facilities Department on facility projects that involve the addition or removal of technology network infrastructure. Maintains liaison with all divisions and operations to keep abreast of policy and procedural changes. Serves as first point contact for infrastructure vendors and technology network district projects. Observes and measures organizational performance against customer requirements and recommends modifications to existing projects or development of new projects and Technology support projects. Prepares operations reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Maintains and provides the Executive Director of Technology weekly Technology Project status report. Meets with vendors on a regular basis to ensure all project stay on task and meet required deadlines. Responsible to carry and answers system issued phone before, during and after normal work hours due to emergencies or extenuating circumstances related to safety or operational routine. Manages Special Projects/Events as assigned by the Executive Director of Technology. Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Technology.
