Purpose: The Project & Metrics Lead is responsible for the operational backbone of the Learning Excellence Organization (LEO) function — overseeing demand planning, portfolio metrics, project management, and functional operations that enable LEO to deliver consistently and at scale. Operating within the Learning Enablement capability team, this role ensures the function has clear visibility into planned versus actual work, manages the project management capability including contracted project management resources, and leads operational and strategic initiatives that advance the effectiveness of the overall function. The Project & Metrics Lead is a critical integrator — connecting demand, delivery, resources, and performance into a coherent operational picture for LEO leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 7 years relevant professional experience
  • Demand Planning & Forecasting: Demonstrated ability to build and manage demand planning processes — tracking forecasted versus actual work volume and translating data into actionable operational recommendations
  • Portfolio & Metrics Management: Proficiency in developing and maintaining performance dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide clear, accurate visibility into functional delivery and resource utilization
  • Project Management: Strong command of project management methodologies and tools; experienced in overseeing project management resources across a concurrent portfolio of work
  • Operational Excellence: Ability to design, implement, and continuously improve operational processes — including budget stewardship, resource tracking, and compliance — that keep a complex function running efficiently
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify operational gaps and lead initiatives that meaningfully improve how the function works — not just maintain existing processes but evolve them
  • Data Fluency: Comfort working with operational and portfolio data — building reports, identifying trends, and communicating insights clearly to both operational and senior leadership audiences
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively across capability groups, contracted resources, and senior leaders to align on priorities and drive execution

Responsibilities

  • Owning the LEO demand planning process — tracking forecasted versus actual work volume, resource utilization, and delivery performance — and produces the metrics and reporting that enable leadership to make informed portfolio and capacity decisions
  • Establishing and governing project management standards across the LEO function, overseeing a pool of contracted project managers who support learning delivery — ensuring consistent methodology, quality, and on-time execution across the portfolio
  • Managing the day-to-day operational infrastructure of the LEO function — including budget stewardship, resource tracking, operational reporting, and process compliance — ensuring the function runs efficiently and within established parameters
  • Leading or supporting strategic operational initiatives undertaken by LEO — including process redesign, operating model improvements, and cross-functional projects — from planning through execution and measurement
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide LEO leadership and key stakeholders with timely, accurate visibility into functional performance, delivery status, and resource deployment
  • Contributing to vendor management activities related to contracted project management resources, including onboarding, performance monitoring, and contract compliance
  • Partnering with the Tech & Data Lead (when needed) to ensure operational and portfolio data flows are accurate and integrated across LEO systems
  • Providing ad hoc operational analysis and reporting in support of leadership requests and business reviews
