About The Position

Compass Point Federal (Compass Point), an AKIMA Company, is seeking a Project Analyst to support a contract award for a mission-oriented program located in Ft. Huachuca. The role involves providing technical assistance to radio operators and Army Military Auxiliary Radio Systems (MARS) volunteers on all operational and technical issues regarding gateway operations. The employee will be required to obtain an FCC license within 3 months of hire.

Requirements

  • Must have an active Secret or higher clearance.
  • At least 2 years of experience in creating or delivering technical training in an operational setting.
  • BA in Communications, English, Technical Writing, or related field and/or Combination of relevant experience and OTJ training may substitute.
  • Ability to speak, write and understand English.
  • Superior oral and written communications skills.
  • Communicate objectives in a positive manner.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and volunteers.
  • Work independently and identify potentially more effective methods of work operations.
  • Skill in use of Microsoft Office
  • Skill in use of PhotoShop and image capture software.
  • Ability to follow instructions and utilize establish / prescribed formats.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate classes, lead discussions, answer questions from students.
  • Ability to lead project work groups or focus groups.
  • Experience in assessing training success and return on investment.
  • General knowledge of radio procedure and Operations.
  • Ability to obtain required licenses and Certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Graphic design and e-learning software experience a plus.
  • Experience utilizing and moderating social media to promote organizational objectives a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop instructional material, training activities, exercises, incorporate current technology, coordinate its implementation with facilitators and assess its effectiveness.
  • Design, update and maintain self-guided training material for a force of 1000 volunteer workers.
  • Work with other staff in developing and maintaining a library of reference material and manuals, and implementation of training and exercises.
  • Develop a volunteer facilitator led radio communications course for JROTC cadets and a self-guided basic initial training course in radio communications for volunteer personnel.
  • Assist in developing written materials for training and procedural guidance for radio communications operator.
  • Create content and moderate Social Media activities, maintain material on Army MARS website.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify objectives and help develop content.
  • Revise and rewrite content to shape it for documentation needs.
  • Create media to support training and program operations.
  • Safeguard all government property, as well as provide for the safety and well-being of personnel.
  • Participate in and help develop materials for physical security, information assurance, and force protection plans and procedures.
  • Provide Administrate Support for the Army MARS membership program to include maintaining membership electronic files / online folders on a government provided database and documentation of staff functions.
  • Support Project Manager with operational and administrative duties as required.
