About The Position

As a Project Analyst supporting the Cybersecurity Portfolio Management Office (PMO), you will play a key role in the financial and operational management of enterprise cybersecurity initiatives. Working alongside Project Managers and Program Managers, you will help maintain project financials, monitor budgets and forecasts, support governance activities, and ensure project documentation remains accurate and audit-ready. This position is ideal for someone with experience supporting technology or PMO organizations who enjoys working with financial data, project reporting, and cross-functional teams. You'll help ensure projects remain on track by monitoring budgets, analyzing variances, maintaining project records, and providing meaningful reporting to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 2+ years of experience supporting projects within a PMO, Project Controls, Project Coordination, Financial Analysis, or Project Management environment
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, or cost tracking
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and data analysis
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology or business initiatives

  • Experience supporting cybersecurity, information technology, or enterprise infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and reporting tools
  • Experience working with enterprise financial or project management systems

Responsibilities

  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, actual costs, and financial performance across multiple cybersecurity initiatives
  • Track project spending and analyze budget variances while providing recommendations to improve forecast accuracy
  • Maintain project records, documentation, and financial data within enterprise project management and financial systems
  • Create and track project requests, purchase requests, contracts, and other project-related documentation through completion
  • Analyze project data to identify discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for project managers, leadership, and audit requests
  • Support financial planning, project governance, SOX compliance, and documentation standards
  • Assist Project Managers with project scheduling, reporting, and portfolio tracking activities
  • Develop dashboards and metrics using Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools
  • Participate in cross-functional project meetings and communicate project status, risks, and financial updates
  • Maintain centralized project documentation and ensure accurate record retention
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve project reporting and operational processes
