About The Position

This position prepares, reviews, and reports the budgeted and actual cost information on construction projects. It prepares and reviews monthly financial reporting. It also reviews subcontractor and/or supplier financial and compliance information and maintains state tax compliance for various construction projects. This role requires 25-30% travel across the state of Texas. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting required OR strong 5-10 years in construction accounting for a general contractor.
Has 1-3 years previous accounting or equivalent experience.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
Demonstrates PC computer skills and uses word processing and spreadsheet packages, such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
Works individually and as part of a team.
Demonstrates attention to detail.
Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently and accurately.

Nice To Haves

Cost accounting experience in construction industry is a plus.
Previous experience with audit firm is a plus.

Responsibilities

Participates in the monthly review of project budgets, costs, and profit.
Research and audits projects or specific items as needed.
Inputs and tracks data related to budgets and project costs.
Produces owner billings for specific projects.
Continually improve processing activities and reports to give operations the best information possible within time constraints.
Performs other related duties as assigned or needed.
