About The Position

Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), part of Foundation Building Materials, is seeking a Project Accountant to help maintain the financial health and integrity of its projects. The position prepares American Institute of Architects (AIA) billings and manages change order documentation for general contractors, ensuring accurate, timely billing and financial records. The role works with project managers, collections, accounting, and operations to support project financial analysis, reconciliations, and billing workflows.

Requirements

One to two years of prior Project Accounting or Billing Analyst experience.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external client stakeholders.
Ability to work under deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
AIA billing experience.
Experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

Ensure billing practices comply with contract terms.
Prepare and send monthly payment applications and invoices to general contractors.
Execute and invoice job-specific change orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Process and manage lien releases as required.
Prepare monthly project analyses to confirm billing goals and revenue targets are met.
Complete job statement reconciliations and provide clear financial analysis.
Partner with collections and accounting teams to reconcile variances in payment applications.
Communicate with internal and external project managers about monthly billing status and change orders.
Serve as a liaison between finance and operations to support accurate and timely billing workflows.
Perform other duties as assigned to support Accounting and corporate objectives.
