About The Position

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Project Accountant to join our San Antonio, Texas (TX) office! This is not a remote position. The role involves monthly financial analysis and ongoing revenue recognition, working closely with Project Managers across various disciplines. The ideal candidate will be adept at meeting multiple critical deadlines on a monthly basis, ensuring all billing transactions are accurately recorded in the MIS system, and preparing invoices. Responsibilities also include contract management and review, and coordinating/pursuing receivables. Occasional monthly travel to other offices within the region is required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
• High degree of professionalism and strong people skills
• Must be an excellent team player
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Word required
• Experience using computerized accounting systems

Responsibilities

• Monthly financial analysis and on-going revenue recognition
• Work with Project Managers in a variety of disciplines
• Meeting multiple critical deadlines on a monthly basis
• Ensure all billing transactions are completed and accurately recorded in MIS system
• Prepare invoices and complete monthly billing
• Contract management and review
• Coordinate and pursue receivables
• Monthly travel to other offices within the region
