About The Position

Supports the Finance Department by performing varying degrees of analysis for multiple projects that arise from the operations of the organization. This role involves coordinating and managing key financial processes such as monthly construction draw processes for real estate developments, insurance coverage for multi-family properties, and monthly reimbursement grants for case management and rental assistance in homeless programs. Additionally, the Project Accountant will support various finance department projects, including budget coordination, software improvements, problem-solving, research, detailed analysis, financial statements, audit preparation, and reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in business, accounting, or finance
  • Strong knowledge of cost and financial accounting principals, practices, processes and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control systems and procedures.
  • Skill in performing complex numerical calculations.
  • Strong analytical skills in reviewing financial information.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Skill in preparing complex management reports on a timely basis.
  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related financial and statistical software products.
  • Skill in verbal and written communication
