About The Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Project Accountant to support project accounting, billing, cost tracking, and financial reporting in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate will help ensure project expenses are recorded accurately and projects stay within budget.

We are seeking someone who is dependable, accurate, organized, and comfortable working with project costs, invoices, and financial records.

Requirements

• Knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Track project costs, expenses, and budgets.
• Prepare customer invoices and project billing.
• Review vendor invoices and verify job numbers and expense coding.
• Monitor project budgets versus actual costs.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and project balances.
• Prepare journal entries and month-end adjustments.
• Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate project accounting records.
• Work closely with Project Managers and the Accounting team.
• Identify and resolve billing or cost discrepancies.
