About The Position

A well-established and growing construction organization is seeking a Project Accountant to support multiple active projects while partnering with Project Managers, subcontractors, and accounting teams. Requirements

3+ years of Project Accounting or Construction Accounting experience
Strong understanding of job costing and project billing
Experience processing invoices and managing project financial documentation
Construction industry experience is required
Strong reconciliation and reporting skills
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Nice To Haves

Experience with Vista ERP
Experience supporting subcontractors or specialty contractors
Knowledge of certified payroll, union reporting, and construction compliance documentation
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

Responsibilities

Manage project invoicing and billing based on contract terms, schedules of values, and project costs
Review job cost data to ensure project expenses are captured accurately
Support project financial reporting, reconciliations, and account analysis
Review contracts, proposals, and change documentation to ensure billing compliance
Process and track subcontractor documentation and contractual requirements
Coordinate collections activities and resolve billing discrepancies
Manage lien releases, tier releases, and supporting payment documentation
Prepare certified payrolls, union documentation, and project compliance reports
Support external audits and project billing reviews
Partner with Project Managers, General Contractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate project financials
