About The Position

Entek HVAC is seeking a Project Accountant to support job cost tracking, accounts payable, and labor cost allocation across multiple regional projects. This role works closely with project managers, operations leaders, and finance to ensure accurate project cost reporting and timely vendor payments. With over 80 years serving the Vancouver, Portland, and Longview communities, Entek HVAC offers the stability of an established organization combined with the collaboration of a growing regional team.

Requirements

3+ years of accounting experience in project accounting, job costing, & accounts payable, with a preference for candidates who have experience in construction, mechanical, or HVAC environments.
Strong understanding of general accounting and cost tracking
Experience with ERP or accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.)
Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Construction, HVAC, mechanical, or project-based industries
Familiarity with job cost structures and cost codes
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience supporting multiple projects or regional operations

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate job cost records by reviewing AP, labor, and project expenses.
Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding to projects and cost codes.
Support project managers with cost tracking, budgets, and variance analysis.
Review and process job cost timecards and labor allocations.
Assist with month-end close, accruals, and project cost reporting.
Coordinate purchase orders and project material procurement tracking.
