About The Position

BR+A Consulting Engineers is seeking a Project Accountant II to join their accounting team in Boston, MA. This role involves partnering with the accounting team, Project Managers, and Principals to support project financial operations, with a primary focus on invoicing, revenue, and accounts receivables. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, enjoy cross-team collaboration, be adept at managing multiple priorities, and possess strong communication skills.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in accounting, billing, accounts receivable, or finance related.
Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated success supporting collections and improving receivables performance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work independently, and stay proactive in a fast-paced environment.
Professional client-facing skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.

Nice To Haves

Experience in professional services, the A/E/C industry, or with Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage project setup, fee structures, invoicing, and closeout activities in Deltek.
Review proposals, contracts, billing templates, labor tables, and project setup information for accuracy.
Prepare and submit client invoices, including all required supporting documentation.
Follow up with clients on billing questions, past-due invoices, and collection efforts by phone and email.
Maintain accurate client and billing records, including contact and account updates.
Prepare project status, billing, and receivables reports as needed.
Interpret and follow client-specific billing requirements and procedures.
Support additional accounting and project finance responsibilities as assigned.
