Seasonal temporary position, working Night shift 3 days weekly in the PCU at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. 13 and 26 week contracts are available offered with a competitive hourly rate. The Registered Nurse participates in increased levels of care in a dynamic Acute Care / Progressive Care Unit setting that provides quality care to higher acuity patients. This increased surveillance 28 bed unit offers a 1:4 nurse to patient ratio while providing high quality care to our patients. Nurses can develop their skill set by providing for patients that include: post cardiac surgery and Cath Lab procedures, alcohol withdrawal, heart and respiratory failure, dysrhythmias, rattlesnake bites, hypo/hypertension, requiring medication drips, and many more. Progressive Care RN: Manages non-titratable drips to help maintain or enhance patients' hemodynamic status. Treat patients with high level of complexity that enable development of critical thinking skills. Identify decompensating conditions and appropriately treat in an expedited/efficient manner.
