About The Position

This position serves as a liaison between OKDHS Child Welfare Services and Tribal partners. The role involves training child welfare system partners on the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and OKDHS Child Welfare policy and practice. The representative will also support ICWA practice compliance and quality improvement efforts, and participate in Child Welfare and Tribal Collaboration team meetings to address policy, practice, and training.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation, or vocational rehabilitation
  • OR an equivalent combination of experience, substituting 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
  • Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered qualifying. Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered.
