About The Position

Creative Flagstaff is seeking to build its on-call staff support with individuals who are looking for a dynamic, flexible gig that fits around their class or work schedule while building their resume. The on-call Programs Assistant supports exhibitions, events, and programs at Coconino Center for the Arts and other community events with Creative Flagstaff. The on-call staff member takes on flexible shifts to assist with the programs of the organization, including theater performances, gallery exhibitions, educational workshops, venue rentals, and community events including Flagstaff’s First Friday ArtWalk, and the Viola Awards. This role serves as a key representative of Creative Flagstaff and Coconino Center for the Arts during events, receptions, and community activations. This is an in-person position that requires regular weekend and evening hours to support a dynamic lineup of programs year-round. Please note that this is an on-call position with no guarantee of hours within any time period.

  • Current Arizona Title 4 liquor certification or ability to obtain certification after starting position. (Company paid)

Nice To Haves

  • Some college education preferred; experience could substitute for education.
  • 1 year of related experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Staff with program coordination and public participation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to front desk reception, events support, and communications including written, coordination, documentation, and reporting.
  • Prepare venue for internal or external events based on approved event plan including light cleaning, moving chairs, tables, and other equipment. May be primary or only staff person at some events. Customer Service and reception including ticket and membership sales. May manage volunteers and oversee other assigned event staff.
  • Assist in preparing galleries and other spaces for exhibitions, programs, and events.
  • Serve as the primary gallery attendant for assigned shifts during open hours and special events, ensuring visitors have an engaging and enriching experience.
  • Supports the readiness of the front desk and merchandise areas.
  • Assists in coordination of the merchandise and concessions program.
  • Utilizes Point of Sale, ticketing, and other customer relationship software. Handles cash accurately.
  • Serves alcohol and other concessions according to Creative Flagstaff policies and procedures and state law.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
