Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent training or experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in C++ programming in the video game industry or embedded systems, or other relevant fields.
  • Proficiency in C++.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in console design.
  • A particular blend of meticulousness and flexibility in your work organization.
  • Ability to communicate with all trades and to support and elevate your team in terms of game quality and vision.
  • You are creative and eager for innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Shared responsibility for the maintenance, debugging, and improvement of all NPC behavior-related aspects, including: Combat, coordination, and collaboration among NPCs. Systemic NPC reactions to various elements (fire, poison, etc.) and other significant in-game events. Development of unique behaviors specific to different NPC archetypes. Improvement of NPC readability and credibility, with a particular focus on animation.
  • Develop in C++ and using Behavior Trees, both to create AI behaviors and to develop reliable and user-friendly nodes.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of AI and game design, with a strong focus on quality. Team members are expected to regularly play the game, provide feedback, and autonomously iterate on the features they are responsible for.
  • Be comfortable working closely with animators and the systems they use.
  • Proactively inform the AI leadership team of any potential unidentified work, such as missing features or performance issues, and actively contribute to their resolution.
