About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Programmer to join our team. The Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and supporting software applications and systems that meet business and operational requirements. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with strong programming fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into reliable, maintainable software solutions. Assist users with software and hardware needs as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1+ years of programming or software development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one modern programming language.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Ability to read, understand, and modify existing source code.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with technical and non-technical team members.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications and programs.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code.
  • Modify and enhance existing applications to support changing business needs.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and identify and resolve programming errors.
  • Pick up Help Desk tickets and assist users with issues.
  • Perform application testing, including unit, integration, and regression testing.
  • Work with users, business stakeholders, & other technical personnel to understand requirements and resolve issues.
  • Integrate applications with databases, APIs, third-party systems, and other business applications as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate technical documentation for applications, programs, interfaces, and processes.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards and best practices.
  • Monitor application performance and assist with identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support production applications and investigate issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in software upgrades, system implementations, migrations, and other technology projects.
  • Follow established security, data protection, version control, and change-management procedures.
  • Stay current with programming languages, development tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
