About The Position

We are looking for a Programmer I to create and maintain internal scripts for our business. The ideal candidate should have knowledge in software development and programming. He or she should be self-motivated and self-supervised, as telecommuting is encouraged for at least part of the work week. As part of our IT team, you will work closely with IT staff to ensure system performance, continuity, and life cycle. Collaborative attitude and analytical mindset are keys for this position, along with a problem-solution attitude. In this position, you should be able to ensure our systems run effectively and securely.

Requirements

Knowledge or experience with programming languages: Perl, PHP, or C#
Knowledge or Experience with the use of SQL database: MySQL or MS SQL database
Experience with productivity tools like Word, Excel, Visio
Experience with IDE
Transform pseudo codes designs and specifications into high functioning scripts.
Formulate scripts specifications and basic prototypes. Implement systems in in-house production environment.
Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team to develop solutions.
Document system proposal and analysis, establish software objectives and requirements, create functional specifications, generate system diagrams and user guides.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Strong diagnostic, testing, and problem-solving skills.
Give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask appropriate questions, and do not interrupt at inappropriate times.
Fully bilingual Spanish/English. Fluency in written, reading and spoken English.

Gather user and projects requirements.
Test and document software.
Develop Reports for applications and users.
Performance tuning and query optimization of existing applications and databases
Perform ad-hoc requests for reports or data gathering.
