About The Position

Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid. Peregrine is a pioneer within the cybersecurity industrial control systems and the Internet of Things, supporting many federal and commercial customers. Peregrine's experienced staff knows the cybersecurity and operational technology environment and provides these capabilities for our customers daily. Summary: The Programmer Analyst IV is a senior-level technical professional responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that meet complex business needs. This role works closely with users and stakeholders to understand current operating procedures, clarify program objectives, and deliver high-quality applications.

Requirements

  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Requires proficiency in programming languages.
  • 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in software development, programming, or systems analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Works with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
  • Outlines steps required for program development, including diagrams and charts.
  • Writes program documentation and operations guidelines.
  • Provides technical guidance to lower-level analyst/programmers.
  • Requires comprehensive knowledge of programming techniques, networked and centralized operating systems, and the capabilities of enterprise database products and development suites.
  • May lead team with external consultants in the development of unique applications that meet employer's requirements.
  • Requires detailed and comprehensive knowledge of employer's applications and systems.
  • Will utilize project management tools to coordinate and plan development work
  • Meet regularly with the business owner team to report progress, set priorities and coordinate requirements gathering

  • Ensure developers are available to develop software to meet those timelines
  • Coordinate with Business Process team to obtain User Acceptance and Release scheduling
