About The Position

This role is dedicated to supporting the implementation of Phase 3 – Student of the college's Enterprise Resource Planning Student Information System Migration. The analysts will help support key initiatives regarding the conversion, migration, integration, and reporting of data from legacy to future systems. Under the supervision of the Director Enterprise Applications and Data Solutions, this position provides programming and systems analysis and design expertise in the development, maintenance, and support of the College's information systems.

Requirements

  • 3 year diploma/degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum three years computer programming experience including at least one year experience in systems analysis, systems design, XML/XSLT, SQL, ASP.NET and VB.NET programming experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Envision, Unidata and Uniobjects.
  • Crystal Reports, VBScript, JavaScript and Flash would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, codes, documents, tests, and maintains programs according to specifications and/or user requests.
  • Provides project management, systems analysis, and systems design for small systems and sub-systems to satisfy business requirements.
  • Provides programming requirements to assigned programming staff, answers questions, performs system testing, provides test system to end-users for end-user acceptance testing and approval.
  • Provides system training and support for end users and the End User Support Specialist.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
