About The Position

The South and Nabatieh (SAN), North and Akkar (NAA), and Bekaa and Baalbeck-Hermel (BBH) Field Offices play a key role in coordinating and implementing Education and Child Protection programmes. The ongoing humanitarian situation in Lebanon has significantly increased operational and coordination demands. To support the continuity of both emergency and development programming, UNICEF is seeking a Programme Consultant to provide operational, administrative, and coordination support to field-based Education and Child Protection teams, contributing to the timely and effective delivery of programme interventions. Under the supervision of the Programme Officer, the Programme Consultant provides operational, administrative, and programme support to the implementation of Education and Child Protection programmes in the assigned Field Office. The incumbent supports programme planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, partner coordination, and field follow-up, ensuring timely and quality programme delivery in line with UNICEF policies and procedures. The position contributes to strengthening programme effectiveness and operational efficiency, enabling the Field Office to deliver both humanitarian and development interventions for vulnerable children and their families.

Requirements

  • A university degree (Bachelor's) in Social Work, Education, Public Administration, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field is required.
  • At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in programme support, preferably in child protection, education, humanitarian, or development programmes.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (high proficiency written and spoken) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with government counterparts, NGOs, and local authorities and coordination is desirable.
  • Experience supporting emergency response and recovery programmes is desirable.
  • French is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to Programme Officer in the Field Office.
  • Manage data tracking, consolidation, and reporting tools.
  • Document key challenges, programme delivery and support to partners in the field.
  • Support partner coordination and follow-up.
  • Conduct visits to community centers, Public Schools, MAKANI & DIRASA Programme.
  • Assist in organizing assessments, field activities, and documentation.
  • Ensure timely information flow between partners, field teams, and coordination structures.
  • Attend relevant meetings related to section, sector and, assist in programme follow-up and monitoring.
