About The Position

JOIN OUR TEAM AS A PROGRAM THERAPIST! Status: Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN Schedule: Day, Evening, and Weekend Shifts Your Work Matters How will you make a difference? As a Program Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the bio-psychosocial needs of our patients. In this role, you will provide therapeutic services, support patients in developing treatment and coping skills, and contribute to a collaborative care environment focused on stabilization and recovery. Your responsibilities will include providing consultation, delivering specialized clinical social work services, conducting crisis intervention, and facilitating short- and long-term therapeutic interventions. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient progress and ensure high-quality, compassionate care. We are seeking a dedicated professional who can provide appropriate information, resources, and referrals to patients and families while helping individuals navigate their recovery journey. Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field preferred.
  • An Illinois State license in social work or a clinical-related mental health field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; and strong clinical assessment skills preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a competency exam upon hire.
  • May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual/couples/family counseling with a focus on engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with community agencies for patient assessment and services.
  • Evaluate and document the effectiveness of interventions and patient responses.
  • Assess patients' psychosocial, educational, and behavioral functioning and document updates.
  • Utilize age-specific considerations in treatment planning.
  • Respond promptly to social work service requests.
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of the patient's program and meet social work needs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
  • Ensure specific, measurable goals and interventions are defined.
  • Adhere to specific standards for the care of diverse patient populations.
  • Utilize appropriate interventions in psychiatric emergencies.
