About The Position

The Program Support Intern works directly alongside Girls Inc. staff to support daily programming for girls ages 6–18 across Miami-Dade County. This is a hands-on, people-centered role focused on building meaningful relationships and creating a safe, inclusive environment for every girl in the room.

Requirements

• Enrolled at FIU in Women's & Gender Studies or a related program
• Passion for youth development and gender equity
• Reliable, patient, and able to work with diverse groups of young people
• Background check clearance required prior to start

Responsibilities

• Co-facilitate daily program activities alongside staff
• Prepare lesson materials, supplies, and room setup for each session
• Support girls with homework help and literacy activities
• Help implement Girls Inc. program curriculum and models
• Observe and document participant engagement and attendance
• Attend weekly program team meetings and contribute to planning
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for participants
