The Program Supervisor-BHSH will oversee all day-to-day operations of the program, including the development and implementation of therapeutic programming and groups by the interdisciplinary team. This role ensures the appropriate, therapeutically documented level of supervision in the program at all times to protect the health, safety, and habilitation of the people supported, consistent with agency philosophy and department practices, and in line with Federal, State, Local, and regulatory requirements. The supervisor will provide effective leadership, developing a team that provides quality care and positive outcomes by maintaining a work environment free from harassment and discrimination, fostering an open-door policy, and using participatory management to maintain direct relationships with staff and bolster morale. This position coordinates all members of the interdisciplinary team (IDT), promoting and maintaining program excellence and ensuring the implementation of person-centered treatment and behavior plans, and coordination of medical care, medication administration, and other necessary services in accordance with all applicable written plans. The role also maintains a safe, secure, and compliant work environment by staying current with and adhering to all applicable processes, procedures, regulations, and best practices, including documenting, tracking, and reporting incidents. The Program Supervisor directly supervises direct care staff and supports the Assistant Supervisor in the supervision of DSP/RBTs, regularly directing activities to ensure the needs of the people supported are met, providing support and feedback, and ensuring completion of on-site orientation, program-specific, and other trainings, and appropriate documentation of credentials. Responsibilities include assigning tasks, ensuring appropriate staff coverage, managing staff schedules, and securing coverage to ensure adequate supervision. The role also ensures ongoing performance management of program staff, consistently applying policies, procedures, and productivity standards through regular feedback, supervision, observation, development, impact discussions, and evaluations. The supervisor initiates, reviews, or approves staff status changes and ensures accurate and timely completion of timekeeping records through Workday. They play an active role in the hiring process, interviewing and selecting qualified staff, and facilitating recruiting needs with HR. The Program Supervisor organizes and presents ongoing trainings, including program-specific training, and provides on-the-job training to direct care staff. They oversee facility maintenance and upkeep, reporting and coordinating resolutions for concerns, and manage supply inventory. Financial oversight includes maintaining records for individuals supported and program expenditures, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to budgetary guidelines. The role ensures the completion and maintenance of all paperwork and written records related to individual treatment and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Weekly program leadership meetings are scheduled and facilitated to address operational, staff, and treatment issues, with escalation of significant concerns to supervisors. The Program Supervisor attends planning and other meetings regarding individuals supported and participates in regional and agency meetings. They lead the communication and implementation of changes at the program, providing feedback, training, and monitoring compliance. The role facilitates professional relationships with families, service providers, and community members, acting as a program representative and advocating for persons with disabilities. Operating a YAI motor vehicle for transportation may be required. Compliance with all Federal, State, Local, and other relevant regulatory agency requirements, including HIPAA, is mandatory. The Program Supervisor serves as Administrator-on-Call on an as-needed basis and may provide program/floor coverage performing DSP/RBT duties. Additionally, they serve as a Transition Navigator for the BHS Home, ensuring a comprehensive, person-centered approach to treatment and planning for continued success post-discharge, including coordinating admissions, discharges, medical/psychiatric care, outreach to community providers, identifying support needs, conducting staff check-ins, facilitating treatment team meetings, maintaining documentation, and establishing post-transition supports. Performs all other duties as assigned.
