About The Position

The Program Specialist is responsible for leading program changes, understanding program requirements, and clearly understanding account priorities and initiatives by using project plans to achieve them. This role involves regular reviews of progress internally and with clients, handling program changes holistically, and ensuring program instructions are clear and executable. The specialist will monitor daily or weekly service delivery, actively manage problem resolution with the lab, and engage in regular calls and meetings with Account Management, sharing presentations and key messages. They will utilize BV systems to monitor program KPIs and prepare client summaries, build strong relationships with the Operations team, and continuously improve program documentation. The role also includes managing and tracking products for testing, conducting annual product reviews, communicating with Distribution Centers for product retrieval, reviewing laboratory test reports, managing testing deviations, investigating root causes, and communicating with various stakeholders. The specialist will attend weekly meetings with the lab and client, manage the monthly testing invoice process, and perform other tasks as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of three years working experience in total
  • Experience in program management in consumer product testing, quality assurance, process/quality engineering or design for manufacturability
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of the above.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the program change and understand the program requirements.
  • Clearly understanding account priorities and initiatives by using project plan to achieve.
  • Regular review of progress internally and have regular review with clients on the progress.
  • Handle the program changes in a holistic approach to consider every detail and clarify with Operations if needed, then work with processes and assess the success of implementation
  • Ensure program instruction is written in clear, simple and executable manner
  • Daily or weekly service delivery monitoring, check daily on problem areas. Active management with lab for resolution
  • Regular calls, discussions and meetings with Account Management; Sharing presentations, meeting notes and key messages. Involving Technical Consultants, engagement with the client when necessary.
  • Utilize BV systems as tools to monitor program KPIs (e.g. OneSource, Tableau Reporting) and prepare a standardized summary for client upon request.
  • Build strong relationships with Operations team in Buffalo, NY by direct phone calls and engagement.
  • Continuously simplifying and improving program documentation.
  • Managing & tracking products to be tested by Bureau Veritas’ Buffalo NY laboratory, and will be responsible for an annual product review to determine which items are in-scope for testing.
  • Communicating with retailer’s Distribution Centers (DCs) to have products pulled from the distribution centers and sent to the testing lab.
  • Reviewing laboratory test reports and managing testing deviations (failures). Deviations will need to be investigated to determine root cause and may require communication with product vendors, manufacturers, brokers, testing labs, and retail client QA/Merchandising/warehouse stakeholders.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the BV lab & retail client
  • Manage testing invoice process on a monthly basis
  • Other Tasks as needed / requested by Bureau Veritas Buffalo, NY team and/or client
