About The Position

We are looking for fun, energetic, and hard-working individuals who love working with youth! This summer position is perfect for anyone who wants to make a positive impact, gain experience in youth development, and have fun while doing it. Staff will lead youth in a variety of program areas, including Sports & Recreation, Arts, Education, and Service & Leadership, helping children learn, play, and grow. This is a great summer job for college students or anyone looking for a meaningful, engaging, and active summer experience. Our staff and kids have a blast every day! School Year: Monday 7:30 - 5:30 ( 8 Hour shift ) Tuesday - Friday 2:30 - 6:00 PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Summer Youth Development Professional plans, implements, and supervises activities for youth (ages 6–18) in multiple program areas. This role supports our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character & Citizenship while fostering fun, safe, and engaging experiences for all members. Staff will lead groups of 5–20 members at a time, help organize activities, and ensure youth are learning, engaged, and having fun.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED & currently working to complete a two- or four-year degree
Experience working with children
Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
Knowledge of youth development principles
Valid State Driver’s License
Candidates must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check & Drug Test

Providing emotional support and guidance to youth facing personal challenges and crises.
Assisting club members with homework, tutoring, and educational enrichment activities to support their academic success.
