About The Position

Easterseals NH is looking for a Program Specialist to join our Community Based Services team! This program supports individuals within our Day Program. This position is supporting a Day Program in the Belmont area. Easterseals New Hampshire and Vermont elevates people of all abilities. We serve the diverse needs of approximately 18,000 children, adults, seniors, families, and veterans each year. We provide services across two states, and our programs cover areas like early intervention, autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, adult day and in-home care, behavioral health, family-centered practices for child welfare, housing, and substance use disorders. Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Human Services or related field and (1) year of Direct Support experience OR a High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of Direct Support experience.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Automobile insurance for transportation requirements.
  • Candidates must be male

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Program Coordinator to assist in reviewing, monitoring and participating in the development, implementation and monitoring of program goals.
  • Act as a Peer Guide for assigned new Direct Support Associates (DSA) which includes providing on the job training and program orientation with assigned DSA maintaining and documenting contact with assigned DSA for a minimum of six months, consistently demonstrate professionalism, exceptional customer service, and positive demeanor and elevate any positive feedback and/or concerns to supervisor.
  • Assist with preparation and compliance of required documentation as requested by supervisor.
  • Perform direct support responsibilities as necessary including personal care and transportation.
