The Office of K-12 School Choice Program Specialist IV is a member of the site visit team responsible for conducting site visits and verifying compliance with the requirements of the state scholarship programs. The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position that is responsible for executing the following functions: Performing site visits to eligible Florida private schools accepting students within the McKay, Gardiner and Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program(s). Knowledgeable about laws related to private schools and the state scholarship programs. Assist in answering questions from the public related to private schools and communicate with private schools on how to register with the Department and submit the annual survey. Log, track and follow-up appropriately on all private school inquiries submitted to the office. This includes making recommendations for action to the Accountability Manager. Responsible for working with the Accountability Manager and the Office of General Counsel on the administrative complaint process as related to scholarship eligible private schools subsequent to site visits. Communicate professionally and timely with other office staff the status of schools. Coordinate responses as related to external correspondence regarding the scholarship programs and private schools, including Corr Flow emails. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. This position requires frequent travel throughout the state.
