About The Position

The Department of Education is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to serve as a Program Specialist III. This role supports program offices and external stakeholders by managing data requests, producing reports, and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of information. The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position that is responsible for executing the following functions: Performs simple and complex Excel calculations and reports for the office and other offices within the department, as needed. As assigned, participates in or represents the department in meetings, briefings, conferences, etc., that will enhance the accomplishment of Section responsibilities as well as department initiatives. Serve as a liaison between requesters and programming staff, effectively managing multiple competing priorities while maintaining productivity under tight deadlines. Adapt to evolving priorities, demands, and organizational needs while continuously acquiring and applying new skills and knowledge. Analyze and evaluate requests for information, including standard and ad hoc reports, from both internal and external stakeholders. Manage electronic communications by coordinating with requesters to clarify needs and ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports and data. Maintain and update request logs, ensuring deadlines are met and supporting the development of recurring report schedules. Deliver high-quality customer service while facilitating communication between technical staff and data requesters. Assist in the production, analysis, and interpretation of reports. Format reports according to bureau standards, ensuring clarity through consistent titles, headers, and footnotes. Support end users by explaining and interpreting data in a clear and accessible manner. Identify and troubleshoot inconsistencies in data presentation, working with programming staff in developing effective solutions. Oversee dissemination of reports and information via bureau webpages. Ensure web reports meet ADA compliance standards. Safeguard data confidentiality and ensure strict adherence to all applicable state and federal privacy laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • One year of experience working in Excel.
  • Ability to provide work samples of writing skills for grammar, editing and communication review.
