Position Information Responsibilities: Establish and facilitate local working relationships to foster watershed-based plan development and implementation to restore water quality in targeted areas across the state Facilitate, coordinate, and collaborate with watershed stakeholders to relay information and develop watershed management strategies to restore water quality Facilitate, coordinate, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop key partnerships and programs for future acquisition of funding and delivery of programs. Work to identify programmatic and educational issues to meet water related needs of stakeholders for future project development and educational materials development Gather and assess watershed-based data to establish a needed understanding of current conditions to convey to stakeholders Manage project activities to ensure timely completion of deliverables, efficient spending and effective project completion Maintain effective communication with TWRI administration regarding research initiatives and project development Represent TWRI at local, national, and international meetings to disseminate research findings and network with peers in the field Work with TAMUS administration and faculty; research and Extension personnel; federal and state agencies; non-profit organizations; personnel with other universities, centers, and institutes; and other partnerships to plan and develop projects and grant proposals to address critical Texas water issues Support other related water management programs underway or under development at the TWRI Provide support to TWRI workshops and meetings across the state Mentor TWRI students to support project activities Other duties as assigned.
