About The Position

The Office of Administrative Services (OAS) provides program management and support services to various Town offices and initiatives. This centralized office interacts with internal customers, the public, local officials, and contract staff. The position involves performing intermediate to high-level professional work in providing deliverables to internal and external customers. Functional assignment areas may include Town-wide communications, web and social media content management, permit and licensing program management, data analysis and reporting, public events planning, coordination, and implementation, and related program management and support. The role also includes administrative support for meetings of the Mayor and Council, as well as Town Boards, Committees, and Commissions. The work is primarily performed in an office setting with an opportunity for remote work a few days per week. Town events may be held outdoors and on evenings or weekends. The position can be filled as a Program Specialist I or II, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in public administration, communications, information management, or a related field (or a combination of education and relevant experience).
  • At least three (3) years in program management and support, preferably in one or more of the listed functional areas.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • High degree of literacy.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced reporting skills.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
  • High level of attentiveness to the spoken and written word.

  • Maintain a valid Class D Driver’s License.
