About The Position

All TCF employees are expected to uphold high standards of attendance, accountability, and professionalism while consistently modeling the mission and core values of The Table Community Foundation (TCF): Serve. Love. Unite. The Program Specialist reports to the Program Manager, ELOP, and is responsible for overseeing and supporting Program Coordinators who manage Group Leads at ELOP sites. This role ensures Coordinators lead effectively, uphold program quality, and maintain compliance with TCF and district standards. The Specialist provides coaching, conducts evaluations, supports training, enforces accountability, and implements procedures to ensure high-functioning, student-centered programs.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • 48 college semester units or passing score on the Paraeducator exam
  • Valid TB clearance
  • DOJ/FBI background clearance
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
  • Experience working with youth and basic knowledge of elementary subjects
  • Strong classroom and behavior management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Effective, professional communication with staff, students, families, and partners
  • Required: Sexual Harassment Prevention Training and Mandated Reporter Training

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: First Aid and CPR Certification
  • EZReports, Procare, or similar systems (as required by district)
  • Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor Program Coordinators, overseeing Group Leads at assigned school sites.
  • Ensure Coordinators complete core duties including timekeeping, site visits, observations, recaps, staff meetings, and Supervisor check-ins.
  • Conduct formal performance evaluations for Coordinators and address non-compliance as needed.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, corrective action, and performance improvement plans.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of Coordinators in managing student-facing staff and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, behavioral expectations, and program quality standards.
  • Support implementation of structured routines, data tracking, and accurate submission of compliance documentation.
  • Assist with resolving site-level challenges, including student behavior issues, staff conflicts, and concerns from parents or school personnel.
  • Review and track required site documentation including lesson logs, observations, recaps, and RTO forms.
  • Support Coordinators in onboarding, timecard accuracy, and document management.
  • Maintain records of Coordinator performance, site visits, and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead onboarding and continuous training for Coordinators on TCF policies, site operations, and supervisory practices.
  • Provide instructional guidance and clarify policies to ensure Coordinators effectively support Group Leads.
  • Facilitate professional development sessions, team huddles, and resource sharing to enhance program quality.
  • Support Coordinators in engaging with site staff, principals, and district partners.
  • Collaborate on planning site-based events and addressing site needs.
  • Serve as the escalation point for site-level concerns and report urgent issues to the Program Manager.
  • Ensure timely communication of updates, policy changes, and district or organizational procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support evolving organizational needs.
