The Benefits Hub is Shoreline College’s food pantry, offering free food, hygiene items, clothes, and school supplies to current students. It is part of the yehaw Center for Student Empowerment, an inclusive space promoting events and programming focused on BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and immigrant communities. Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Support, the Program Specialist 2 serves as the first point of contact for students accessing emergency aid and resources within the Benefits Hub. This role focuses on coordinating emergency aid, including the Supporting College Students Experiencing Homelessness Grant, Student Emergency Assistance Grant, and United Way of King County funds, as well as supervising Benefits Hub work-study students and volunteers. This position is currently funded through June 30, 2027, with continuation expected pending approved grant funding.
