About The Position

The Program Service Specialist position provides administrative and operational support for a portfolio of early childhood programs and family support services. The Program Service Specialist is embedded within Ambulatory Care Network pediatric practices and helps families navigate early childhood systems connecting them to essential resources. This role involves assisting with program activities, supporting families and children, coordinating resources, and ensuring a smooth day-to-day operation. The Program Service Specialist collaborates closely with staff, families, and community partners to ensure the effective delivery of early childhood programs and activities, while promoting positive outcomes for children and families. The Program Service Specialist facilitates literacy, developmental, and material goods programs, including Reach Up and Read and a toy distribution. Lastly, the Program Service Specialist is part of a broader team leading community-based outreach and engagement efforts to connect families with early childhood services, including hosting and supporting local events that promote awareness of the full scope of early childhood resources, in Northern Manhattan and the Bronx.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High degree of flexibility
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
  • Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
